Clinical Psychologist & Director
Clinical Psychologist, BPsych, GradDipPsych (Adv), MClinPsych, MAPS
Alexa is an empathic and collaborative Clinical Psychologist who works alongside adults to help them better understand themselves and create meaningful change. She supports people experiencing anxiety, mood disorders (such as depression and Bipolar Affective Disorder), psychosis and psychotic illnesses (e.g., Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder), stress, low self-esteem, social anxiety, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, trauma, anger, emotional dysregulation, and other life challenges, offering a compassionate space to explore what's happening and find new ways forward.
Alexa takes a relational approach, recognising how our experiences and relationships - past and present - shape the way we feel and connect with others. She draws on a range of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Schema Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
In her spare time, Alexa pursues endurance sports (including marathon running), travelling and hiking, and reading fiction and biographies. She is also trying to learn to crochet (so far, it's been a struggle).
